Michal Brondel

As the CEO and co-founder of Tatras Group, Michal is responsible for running all facets of the business.

Michal brings more than seven years of executive experience with leading in Building Science and Industrial Rope Access sectors. His attitude is a perfect example of great perseverance in pursuing his goal, not giving up and loyalty to his principles.

He intuitively sees the threads of opportunity that wind through an organization, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking, and drives material business advantage. 

He is an inspirational leader who tells stories that inspire action while at the same time is grounded in financial information that levers the business. 

His background includes Energy Management Systems and business development. Michal was also a member of European Mountain Search and Rescue and co-founder of Protec Vertical Solutions – a successful Vancouver based Building Restoration firm.

Michal is a man of integrity and able to make the tough calls when necessary.

Oskar Michalak

Oskar Michalak


Oskar Michalak brings to Tatras a long history of work in mountain rescue team, adventure tourism and industrial rope access.

He has a master’s degree in Emergency Management. Right after University, he became a part of specialized rescue team saving lives in the mountains, caves and all kinds of industrial environments. 

As a rope access technician, he has extensive experience working and supervising numerous projects from 200m height smoke stacks, inaccessible structures at the stadiums, airports, bridges and buildings.

As COO Oskar is responsible for ensuring the company is operating at the highest level possible, delivering the best quality service keeping safety as number one priority. 

After work you can find him running 100-mile races in the mountains and exploring nature with his daughters and Cooper, his German Shepherd dog.

Daniel Frano

As the brain behind Tatras Group’s figures, Daniel sees that Tatras’ day-to-day operations align with company’s goals while meeting quality standards and both financial and market needs. With a fine eye for details, his analyses and forecasting become important factors in decision making. He also enjoys interacting with the team and clients and actively contributes to creating positive working environment.

Originally from Slovakia, Daniel was drawn to Vancouver’s lifestyle 9 years ago with his now-wife, following his passion for travelling and outdoor adventure.

Daniel started with work at height back in Europe as a seasonal job during his university studies of Finance and Banking and he continued on the same path here in Vancouver. With the years of experience he gradually gained Level 3 Rope Access Technician among other industry and safety certifications. 

After 5 years, his motivation and determination pushed/led him to start his own business with Tomas where he was quickly able to implement his industry expertise and knowledge from his studies.

When you do not see him on the mountain making first tracks on the milk run in the wintertime, he is probably singing Wheels on the Bus with his 2 years old son Adam
