This year’s Innovation Award recognized those companies that are not just adapting to change, but driving it. Environmental Innovation: A Tatras Signature
In the Journal of Commerce feature, Tatras Group was recognized for developing an engineered avian exclusion netting system allowing key infrastructure projects to remain on course during nesting seasons.
The article described how Tatras’ innovation incorporates:
- Custom clamps and magnetic hardware-no drilling into structures
- UV-resistant netting for coastal environments
- Installs completed solely through rope access
- Solutions enabling major bridge projects to continue safely
These systems were implemented on the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge and the Granville Bridge, two projects where environmental sensitivity and technical complexity intersected.
